Premiered in 1867, Romeo et Juliette was composed to a libretto by Jules Barbier and Michel Carre based upon the Shaespeare play. Apart from Faust, it stands as Gounod's most popular opera. This chorus score, with the standard piano reduction by Hector Salomon, is a digitally-enhanced reprint of the choral movements from the vocal score issued by G.
