Inspirational Hero

Maya is has been a hero of mine ever since I discovered her poetry a couple of years ago. An important woman in politics but also in literature. This small yet very inspirational book of poems made for a beautiful night of reading. She speaks her voice in politics like in her famous poem, "the caged bird" although she also shows her humourous and sexy personality in "Phenomenal Woman". I think it's important to keep this iconic woman's work alive, and I hope many generations will continue to speak her name proudly. - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐- Amber-Louise
