First of, I disliked how GRRM decided to divide the storyline between "A Feast for Crows" and "A Dance with Dragons". Instead of telling half the story for half of the characters in AFFC and continuing it on ADWD, like he was doing since the beginning of the series, GRRM prefered to tell all the story for all the characters he was focusing on in each book. By doing so, I found myself quite confused with the timeline, which had a direct impact on my comprehension.
I was also slightly disappointed that the overall plot hasn't really moved forward in two whole books and that maaaany plotlines are still waiting for resolution at the end. Martin is well-known for his lenghthy descriptions, but here, both books suffer from it. Despite the cliffhanger at the end, the nothingness that makes "A Dance with Dragons" leaves me underwhelmed (unfortunately) and full of wonders on how Martin will manage to write and complete "The Winds of Winter". If he ever does.
At least now, I can wait passively and patiently as my hopes aren't as high as it used to be during A Storm of Swords. "i don’t know how I’ll do once I finish book 5. probably not well… like everybody else. ah ah ah.. ah 🙃" I said. If only I knew...
