WORLD WAR II IS OVER -- AND THE TROOPS ARE COMING HOME. Bound together by their weekly knitting circle, Carrie, Velma, Gwen and Shirley supported one another through the bleak wartime years. Through good times and bad, they kept each other's spirits up, taking comfort in their unique bond of friendship, longing for the day their men would return.
